Don't know if this is you
But I was born whole
And one day
Those I loved once
Said what's wrong with you
Where is the beautiful one
We all once knew
All who know you
Are split into two camps
Some still love
While others distrust you
I never reasoned
What I was doing
To me and you
Never considered
A spirit could split in two
When evil is invited in
And it's no wonder
The sheep shears of sin
Shredded me whole
To tear my innocence asunder
With a pure heart split ragged
Jagged edges
On the cloth of self-loathing
A mind on the ledges of destruction
There is no way for me
To touch
The fringe of Jesus' cloak
So how does one begin
To mend a soul split
By the non-healing wounds
– of sin -- of sin
All who know you
Are split into two camps
Some still love
While others distrust you
Well today –
My hands melded together
Both sides begging me to pray
My heart and mind beseeching
To once more be as one
For the two split camps
To see me as I was born --- again
And I swear something
Reached down deep inside
In places
Only a Master Weaver can reach
With a Holy Needle and Thread
Mending sinners -- healing
Those who come willing
To make amends
And I wept even as ...
I could feel my split soul
Those two parts of me
Became whole
The Master Weaver whispered
All who know you
Are split into two camps
Those who have been made whole
And others who want to be like you
Don't know if this is you
