Hi, I live in Portland, Oregon and I am looking for someone local to collaborate with. I write songs that have a rural/vintage/pop/county/folk feel. I like Emmy Lou, Dolly, Alison Kraus, Gillian Welch. I just came back from a songwriting retreat taught by Nashville songwriters Marty Dodson and Clay Mills of Songtown. I have a goal to write more songs this year and BETTER songs! My strengths are words and melody, my weaknesses are chords, groove, beats, musicianship, arrangement. I am looking to collaborate with a musician/writer who has my weaknesses as strengths.

Songwriting Achievements:
I'm coming back to songwriting after a long break. I won a songwriting competition that allowed me to go to learn with Canadian folk songwriter Stephen Fearing...but that was a while back. I used to have a band that performed all my material. I'm not so interested in performing now. I'm interested in WRITING REALLY GREAT SONGS and if the magic happens I am open to pursuing getting cuts.
Personal Songwriting Goals:
Write more GREAT songs first.
Collaboration Goals:
sync placement (film, TV, video games), mainstream artist release, niche/independent artist release, just for fun
