I am primarily an actor, but have always done some kind of writing since my teens, including songwriting. I play a little bit of guitar and ukulele, read music, and sing decently. Although I have written melodies for some of my songs using keyboard and ukulele, My main skills are as a lyricist. I studied Early music a bit in college, and played recorders, Crumhorns, and at one point sang in a professional level Madrigal group. Admittedly, since the pandemic, I have become completely immersed in writing, taking songwriting seminars, and utilizing the many programs that NSAI has to offer. I have a keen interest in writing for film and TV, And have had a demo done of a song I wrote with film/tv in mind. I have also been writing songs that writing songs that fit more in the genre of folk/pop. A mentor described one of my songs as being something they could hear Taylor Swift performing In her "Evermore" style. Hope that gives you an idea of who I am and the style of writing I'm interested in. Also will say I'm a huge fan of Passenger, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Lyle Lovett, Cheryl Wheeler, and of course many others! I am looking for a composer who would be interested in these genres.
