Robert Birkeland grew up in Bergen, and gained his musical experience after being a guitarist / songwriter in orchestras that played pop, heavy rock, blues and country. Like for example. F.G. (Bergen), Rockfilter (N) & Rattlers (us / n / dk). Wrote both songs for F.G.'s single. In addition to this, he has also been taught classical singing / guitar by John Magnusson and Torbjørn Wiberg, respectively. After the orchestra period, it was many years as a solo / duo / trio entertainment musician in Norway, Denmark, Germany and the USA. While he constantly worked with sound technology / production and teaching, and was based in both Bergen and Copenhagen. Has worked in parallel with a "pop music" project, which has become 2 albums, and over 30 songs. These are mostly light songs for the ears, with ballads, pop and rock in the Bergen dialect. And several of the songs are also about his experiences from Bergen, the music industry and touring life. This must also be called an artist portrait, because Robert Birkeland, in addition to having written all the melodies and lyrics, plays almost all instruments himself, and has also been his own sound engineer and producer.
