I started out writing poetry when I was 12. I didn’t realize I even understood song structures fully, but there is a flow of melodies and lyrics that at times pour out of me and I feel free! I am able to take any topic and write a song quickly. There is a creative stream of consciousness within me that I can no longer deny or hide. I never wanted to hide it, I just didn’t believe in myself, but now I do. I have a God-given talent. After my brother Earl died in 2016, it changed my life to the point where I built myself up through exercise and diet and I’m ready now. I’m stronger and more confident than ever. I need to see this through for myself and my family.
