My name is John; I live in the Seattle, Washington USA area. I'm a guitarist and I do know some music theory, but at least for now my strength is in writing good lyrics with continuity and structure. My melody writing is "OK" but it's not my strength. There was a time years ago that I wanted to join a band, record songs, and travel around to gigs in the back of a bus. I'm too old for that now and I'd rather have songs published and earn royalties while someone else plays my songs. I'm willing to share a 50-50 copyright split with a collaborator. I would like to have a signed agreement in place before collaboration actually gets underway so that we both feel comfortable that we're not going to rip each other off. Would prefer to collaborate with someone in the U.S., but I would gladly consider the UK as well. Open to exploring various genre's but not interested in hip hop, rap, or anything that resembles heavy metal.
