I've been writing for 20 years and have a tiny handful of songs to show for it that never made it to the trash can. I am extremely hard on myself but I keep coming back. Oh one time in 1996 Gary Louris told me a few lyrics I wrote were brilliant and I should never stop writing. I told him I would send him more but then I got scared and never did. And there you have it.
