While growing up in Durham, NC, Michael "Cypha Da Moonchild" Grissom, fell in love with music at an early age. His father, which was a local DJ influenced him to listen to all types of genres. When Cypha’s father gave him his first mixer and turntables as a teenage he began to compose mixtapes to give to his schoolmates. In 2007 he started to pursue producing records for artist and making beats. Cypha has produced songs for independent artist and independent TV shows. Also he has done background music for MTV programming. In 2015, Cypha Da Moonchild released his global debut instrumental album “Signals from the Galactic War. In 2016 he released the single “Drip Drop” on Teknofonic Records. ”In 2017, he linked up with Multi-Platinum Songwriter, Mickey Shiloh to produce four songs on her album “Organix.”
