I've been writing songs solo and with bands since I was nineteen. I've always enjoyed co-writing more than writing music on my own; I think that with the right people you produce more than the sum of your parts. I'm not a massively gifted musician technically, I play rhythm guitar, get by on bass, mandolin and bouzouki and can work out chords very slowly on a keyboard. I record at home with the Reaper DAW but wouldn't describe myself as an expert. I write lyrics for myself and others, given a topic and some ideas to include I can usually write to order reasonably well.
