My name is Marilyn McNeal and I am a musician and electronic music producer working on experimental roots music, sound art and electronica. My latest project is called Chantmagick. Chantmagick is a music video channel dedicated to original instrumental music with vocal harmonies. I begin by creating a vibrant sound layer using recording software or playing guitar or piano. Then I chant / sing over this layer, often multiple times until the vocals and the underlying layer fit together right.
