I'm just a rank amateur. You can call me more of a music enthusiast. I've also dabbled in some screenwriting. Presently, I have a 14-song album idea based on utter Nonsense lyrics by an Indian humorist genius all of whose works are now in public domain. The lyrics of these albums are basically his nonsense poems translated by me. The melodies are based on Western Classical tunes - mainly from Baroque (Marin Marais, Jean Philippe Rameau) and Romantic period (Frantz Liszt, Georges Bizet, Antonín Dvorák). I have also borrowed from medieval music, English country music and even one is based on Christmas Carol. I must mention modern composer Peter Warlock in this context. All these pieces can be sung in form of ballads and have true potential for melodious Eastern-Western fusion. I'm looking for an experienced songwriter who can collaborate with me and take this concept forward. Yes, my dream is to popularize these nonsense poems outside India - all over the world, through a music album and the poetry book HOCUS POCUS (a collection of fifty nonsense poems translated by me). I can immediately share 11 songs(without any accompaniments) that I have sung so far.
