I have my Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's degree and Biotechnology. I currently work in a lab but my #1 passion is songwriting. Years ago, I wrote lyrics for Sade and I sent them to her record company. I was told that if I could create a melody for my lyrics, I might have an opportunity for someone to listen to my song. Unfortunately, I did not follow-up on the opportunity but I continued to write. I believe that if you have a desire in your heart that won't go away, you definitely should pursue it. Sadly, many individuals take their dreams to their grave. I used to think that an individual who would quit a six figure corporate job to become a writer, chef, painter, etc. was crazy. It took me a while to realize that I would rather have a career that I absolutely love, than to have a high paying job that I hate. Songwriting is my career choice without a doubt.
