Hi Peter,
I'm an aspiring lyricist looking for a musician/composer to co-write songs with. My goals are the same as yours. I do not play an instrument or sing, but I'm a decent writer with a lot of life experiences to draw upon. I lean toward Rock, pop, and country, but stray into the folk, R&B, and soul genres on occasion. Here are some lyrics I wrote to a rock song that I could imagine groups like Kiss, Nickelback, or Daughtry singing, its called Push The Pedal Harder.
Intro
I must have been - out of my mind
Should have never - left you behind
Somehow I thought - you'd be in the way
I miss you more - each and ev'ry day
L.A. didn't turn out like I'd planned
Now my dreams lie broken in the sand
Those dreams of fame - and lure of gold
Were not worth - the pain to my soul
I tried to call you on the phone
Is it too late to come back home
I'm gonna try to make things right
I'm gonna jump in my car toni-i-ight
(chorus)
And push the pedal harder
Gonna make these ponies run
Push the pedal harder
'Til the wheels burn like the sun
Push the pedal harder
Gonna make this engine roar
Push the pedal harder
'Til it takes me to your door
I'm picking up - what's left of my dreams
I realize - what your love means
You lift me up - when I am down
To win your love - I'm homeward bound
I want you to know - you're the one
I'll drive all night - and greet the dawn
I'm gonna try - to make things right
I'm gonna jump - in my car toni-i-ight
(Repeat chorus)
I'm coming home
(Instrumental/solo)
I'm on my way
(Repeat chorus 2 times)
(Instrumental finale)
I hope these lyrics are something that inspire you. Hopefully you'll like to work with me.
Sincerely,
Dave Ruzicka
