I have had a few songs performed by a previous rock band that I was the bass player for. I have multitrack DAW equipment with the ability to produce a quality recording, but no lyrics at this time.
Personal Songwriting Goals:
Would like to find unique lyrics to turn into songs. Most I have read (I have tried a Craigslist search) don't move me and are usually self introspective feeling type lyrics which I can't use, I feel like I could write those myself but I don't want to. Li

Hello Harold,
My name is David Murray, and I’m a lyrical writer with a surprising number of country songs in my catalog, especially for a guy that’s never been on a horse! Below, please find my posting:

275 songs in catalog, or I’ll write just for you! Strong rhyme schemes, tight, poignant, adventure topics. I’m a freak about lyrical rhyme cadence. (Genres: Country, Folk/Roots, Celtic, Christian, Rock) Favs: Prine, T.T. Hall, Cohen, Lennon/McCartney, Taupin. I’m a serious, responsive writer… and I hope you’ll think that I do it well. Support background: I’m a semi-retired marketing executive, served on the faculty at the RI School of Design, published 3 children’s books and played in the RI Highlanders Pipe & Drum Band. Easy to work with, rapid response and fun! Compensation is not a driving factor, split 50/50 if revenue streams. Member BMI and Songwriters Guild of America. Remember, it costs nothing to chat!

Hope to hear from you,

Hi Harold,

I recently joined SongwriterLink and your name came up as a potential co-writer since you primarily compose music and I write only lyrics. I particularly enjoy writing historically based ballads, and have had an interest in the American West and the Civil War for years - writing numerous articles for Wild West, True West, and Old West magazines.

I have some success through the years, mainly in the "niche and independent-artist" category. I have written or co-written the lyrics to three charted songs: "Handmade Nails and Homemade Love" (#4 on the Power Source Top 20 charts and the month's most played bluegrass song on Sirius XM radio) "Rockwell's Gold" (# 3 on the Bluegrass Unlimited charts) & “Devil of the Trail” (# 12 on Bluegrass Music Profiles Top 30.

You might want to snoop through a few of my lyrics to see if anything catches your eye. I have put a number of them on SongwriterLink, and you can also download all of them for free, as an ebook, on - by entering my name.

Hope to hear from you,
Dennis Goodwin
