I played in many bands through my 20's and wrote and collaborated in all of them. I never stopped playing, but in my early 30's stopped collaborating and now I find it difficult to write lyrics, however I am still good at coming up with what I think are great hooks, melodies and full songs (with just la la la or do do do for the melodies). I recently worked with an old collaborator/band mate, he had some lyrics but was stuck for music. I found it exhilarating coming up with a melody and want to try to write music to someones lyrics.
