Whole Self
For this week's song, I tried to use a combination of things that I have done over this ten-week term so far. Starting with the chorus with simple piano and vocal, then changing tempo into a more rock-sounding number. The dance I was inspired by was the Hokey Pokey, as you can tell by some of the lyrics in the chorus. I tried not to rip off that song too much, but one can clearly hear the influence it had on me in the verses. I can't help but think that this one could have been longer, but then again I only had an hour to write it so here it is! There also may be a historical inaccuracy in the chorus too, but I just needed a rhyme!
