Story Of My Life
I decided to write a song in the blues genre this week. As I set about my weekly task, I thought to myself that this genre has been pretty much done to death by so many people already. How could someone like me offer something fresh and original when it comes to singing the blues? Judging from the feedback on last week's submission, I made a conscious effort to not do things like excessive rhyming. I also tried to keep each line fairly short, but I jazzed up the melody when it came to actually singing it. I also feel like the third verse may be kind of weak for a song like this. It was my second attempt at a final verse for this song, but I personally think it's ok.
