Opposites Attract
My original idea for this week was to focus on words that are the opposite of each other, but I did not necessarily want to make a long list of them! I wanted to use them in a creative way, which may have been achieved here somewhat. I feel that having the choruses less wordy was a good idea, while the verses are more free-flowing as they tell a story. When it came to recording the song, I played the chorus into my DAW first at a tempo of 100 BPM. I then found that the verse would be too slow, so I recorded that at a slightly faster tempo of 110 BPM. I think it's really effective with the verses being slightly faster than the choruses, and it's the first time I have done something like this in I Heart Songwriting Club!
