Old Sole
My work shoes used to wear out far sooner than in more recent times. In the past I would take my shoes to a place called Mister Minit (that specialises in mending shoes and cutting keys among other things) to get the soles repaired. Every time that happened though, the leather would be stretched thinner and thinner until eventually it just wasn't worth it in the end. In the job that I do, my shoes can take a real battering so I try to make them last as long as possible. This song is a first-person account from the perspective of the "old soles" of my shoes, thus utilising a homonym in the process. This became the name of my song in the end, as i was inspired by a fellow Club member using the week's theme as his song's title in a previous submission.
