Married To The Job
While pondering this week's theme, my first thought was of things coming together. Words such as meeting, merging, combining, union and marriage came to mind. I decided to base my song on marriage in the end, but not in the traditional sense. I then started thinking about those people who work ridiculously long hours each week, so it seems like they are "married to the job." I had heard this term of phrase recently and quite liked it, so I felt like this would be a great idea for a song. My letter theme makes a return this week, with the song being of the "call and response" type. This is a different kind of song for me, so it was no doubt fun to experiment with.
