Forward, Reverse
For this week's songwriting task, I immediately started thinking of words that spell one thing forwards and another backwards. The name of the song comes from a game seen on improvisation comedy shows called "Forward, Reverse." Performers act out a scene while someone else calls out things like reverse, forward, slow motion, etc. This becomes challenging when the actors reach the end of the scene, then have to do everything in reverse order all the way back to the beginning. The inspiration for the verses was derived from a free instrumental I found as part of another online songwriting club called "Inspire The Song." Despite the instrumental being free to use in people's songs, I decided to only have it there as a starting point.
