Can Do
This week's songwriting task asks to use a candle as a metaphor, without using the word "candle" in the song. As you all may know by now, metaphors are not my strong point so this proved to be a challenge in itself for me. I settled on describing a "can-do" attitude, which takes care of not mentioning this week's theme rather nicely I thought. I decided to experiment a little with the third verse and have it not rhyme, while using the same word to end one line and start the next. This has been a very enjoyable term for me, and thanks to all who submitted songs over the last ten weeks. Maybe I'll see you guys around in future, either in other groups or beyond the realm of I Heart Songwriting Club. Take care everyone!
