I am fairly knowledgeable about music theory and have written a few songs, but always get in my own head with no feedback or deadlines from other people. So I think it would be very helpful to shoot some ideas back and forth (I am absolutely not interested in controlling the creative vision) and have a completed song! I play guitar, have decent knowledge of inversion and extension options, and comfortable with using it as a compositional tool. I can read standard notation, or use tab, but I don’t find it limiting at all if all of your ideas are just hums! I know music theory pretty well and will definitely not be confused by any of your ideas. I would not expect anyone To need to know this stuff though as I don’t think it’s necessary for having creative ideas. I can also “produce” with DAWs, or at least get a pre mixed piece together on the software. I am not in expert in the fine tuning but can put my tracks on their with midi keys or guitar parts.

Songwriting Achievements:
No achievements to speak of, in terms of writing complete published works. I have spent lots of time trying to figure out what makes a good song good, and I think I have a good instinct for avoiding cliches and keeping stuff catchy and relevant.

I write sometimes but never really complete since I’ll get distracted or over critical working alone.
