I’m a sinner saved by grace headed for a wondrous place
In the sweet forever He will welcome me.
I’ll be privileged to go and will be comforted to know
That I’m as far away from Hell as I can be.
But at this Sunday morning service, I can hardly catch my breath,
Not one to get nervous but by now I’m scared to death.
The looks on all those faces leave me feeling out of place,
I pray to God He will deliver me from evil and disgrace.
Go, tell your heart to notify your face
When the comfort of the Lord has your life in His embrace.
The joy you have within should leave a grin you can’t erase,
Just tell your heart to notify your face.
Midnight’s bells would not toll for the Man death could not hold.
No orphans of the night, we’ve become children of the light.
In that still small voice within His Spirit speaks again.
The way, truth, and life will show the road we ought to go
I believe in things becoming better than they’ve been
when every loving heart will take our hands and take us home.
All the things we’re hoping, what we hear and have not seen,
are what we’re looking forward to believing on our own.
Let's begin our lives anew standing by the cross,
The cross of Jesus Christ, our only key.
He’s the key that will unlock, unlock and open up,
Unlock and open up and welcome us through Heaven’s door.
So, tell your heart to notify your face.
When the comfort of the Lord has your life in His embrace.
The joy you hold within will leave a grin you can’t erase,
Just tell your heart to notify your face.
