written poetry since age of 15. Currently have about 400 written down. Its hard to explain but words just come together in my head, and if i dont write them down then, then i forget them. Which is a problem sometimes! They are about love, loss, women, beaches, cars, places etc, the usual romantic rubbish! Some take only 5-10 mins to write down, others take a few revisits and rework, and most start with a key sentence or thought. There was challenge at a dinner party last new years eve to write something. I wrote 4 verses in 5 mins on a paper napkin, no-one else got past the first line. The hostess kept mine and framed it.
