I’ve been a hobby musician (mostly rock, metal, and blues) for most of my adult life. I played drums and tinkered with guitar a bit as a teenager. I only got serious about guitar at the age of 19 to try expressing my musical ideas. I played in an original band for a few years, taking on songwriting, guitar and vocal duties (I don’t believe I did any of those well, at the time). After the band faded away, I continued to write sporadically, and got into recording. After working with several different analog and digital platforms, I settled on a Logic Pro system. I went to a professional studio to record my first album after amassing 30+ original songs. It was a 13 song album called Dig ‘em Up, under the name Dark Unconscious, released in the summer of 2016. I built a jam space to bring in musicians to get ready to play the album live and it quickly turned into a songwriting mission again. The jam space turned into a recording studio and after about a year and a half, here I am again, with more than 30 new rock and metal songs amassed, some complete with lyrics and melodies and others are just music waiting for vocals. What I’m really looking for is a singer to perform vocals and help write lyrics and melodies.
