I am currently taking time off college. I go to UCLA and I'm majoring in English.I started writing poems growing up and from time to time would write songs on the side. I also did choir and sang all through growing up until college. It has been about a year since I've really committed to songwriting and its a blast. I love writing to different styles, themes and topics that I have not done before because it stretches me to think and feel differently. the flow of the song. I find that my strength really are the lyrics and setting the tone of the song more so than the hook. I'm getting better at hooks. I do understand a bit of musical theory and chord progression because I played piano growing up. A lot of the songs I have written about are mainly about love, death, self empowerment and sex. I'm expanding my songs to go outside of those 4 categories. I'm looking for some one who is great at writing hooks, multi instrumentalist and great at production, those are the areas that I am not the strongest at. Someone who is really great at song ideas and bouncing different melodies because I find that some of the melodies and tempos I use can be a little redundant
